Luke, watch for even more cracking down by the big boys, coming to a bloggerhood near you soon.

Not that I have any insider info, or anything, but there are a lot of people working really hard to write new software that can identify human-produced, high quality content, versus auto-generated junk and I have a strong feeling that the big "G" has been working on new algorithms which will change the 'Net landscape yet again.

Great news. These kinds of sites are the scourge of the internet. Wordpress.com has free publicity aspects, so it should definitely police these. At the very least there should be a personal or productive purpose for the blog.

Luke's last blog post..8 Ways To Boost Your Charisma

Haney, definitely would hope to see Blogger move on that. Surprising really since they're owned by Google and we know how tolerant Google is of spam sites. Thanks for stopping by and commenting . . .

Hi Sharon,

Thanks much for stopping by . . . I agree, I've really noticed the Blogger splogger phenomenon of late. It's seemingly overrun with junk blogs. I think that if you're serious about your blog, you'll definitely invest in your own hosting (not counting the pros hosted on WordPress and Blogger, of course.)

That's good news regarding scraper blogs. There has been an increasing trend with that one. And I agree with Sharon, Blogger should do something.

Haney's last blog post..Happy Chinese New Year!

Now, here's a concept.....

At least if they are going to splog and scrap, they should at least host their own servers.

Blogger should be listening because it's become a breeding ground of seriously bad behaviour.

Sharon's last blog post..The Direct Link Between Better Sex and Being Fit
